Internal Management System (IMS)
Our team was chosen to rebuild an existing internal management system as a web application in order to make the process of towing and releasing a vehicle easier. One of the biggest challenges they had to overcome was getting used to a completely different system from an entity outside of the university. Some of the new tools that were incorporated into the development of the IMS were Vue, Event Sourcing, and Unit Testing.
First, our team met frequently with our client to decide on primary features. We then went to work developing the web-application, and then conducted several test runs of the platform. We delegated roles and simulated the daily operations of our client’s employees. We then modified the platform based on the results of those simulations, ensuring a smooth and efficient user experience.
As development came to a close, we began aggressively testing our product. Testing revealed bugs and areas of improvement that we then had to go back and revise. After a few testing periods and more development, we had a finished product to showcase to our client.
