Stephanie Lim holds her BA and MA in English from CSU Northridge and teaches undergraduate English and Drama courses at CSUN, UC Irvine, and AMDA College of the Performing Arts. She is currently a PhD student in Drama & Theatre at UC Irvine, and her dissertation focuses on the intersections of American Sign Language, music, and musical theatre, as well as the resulting cultural translations/adaptations which occur. Publications appear in Theatre Journal, Theatre Survey, Everything Sondheim, and Studies in Musical Theatre. Stephanie currently serves as Grad Student Rep for the Association of Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE)’s Music Theatre/Dance Focus Group and as Disability Studies Assistant Area Chair for Southwest Popular/American Culture Association (SWPACA).
