Junliang Huang received her Ph.D. from Department of Asian Studies at Cornell University in 2015. Her research interests include transnational Japan studies, war memory and history, postcolonial theory, translation theory, cultural studies, gender and violence, and also studies of colonialism, semi-colonialism, and empires. Her major publications have appeared in journals such as the U.S.-Japan Women’s Journal, Interventions: International Journal of Postcolonial Studies, International Comparative Literature, and Shakai bungaku (Social Literature).
